In September 2009 I was asked to be a guest designer for UStamp. Up until April 1st 2010 my projects belonged to UStamp but now I am allowed to post them on here for sale.

I came up with, and designed a "Birthday Set" and it can be adjusted to suit any occasion you wish, such as Mother's Day gifts, or even for Christmas gifts, just as a few suggestions.

Meet Sue Poile, Featured Princess

I'd like to introduce Sue Poile. Sue lives in Australia; bet you didn't know the tour is international!! Wow, you can visit so many wonderful stampers all over the world. Isn't technology great? Sue enjoys stamping, as well as Cross Stitch, Tapestry and Beading. She will take part in the royal blog tour July 26-28th. I recently had the opportunity to interview her; read on to learn more about her.

How long have you been stamping? About 4 years

Do you have any other hobbies besides stamping? Ever since I was a young girl, I have always loved to draw and colour in etc. As I got a little older I started to try different crafts of one sort or another, even learned leatherwork when I was 16...which I haven't done for quite a long time now, but I still have my tools. I've also done Cross Stitch, Tapestry, Beading, knitting & crocheting.

How long have you been with SU? 2 years, I joined July 2007 with this great company and

how it has change my life in so many ways and I just love it!!!

Do you want to share a nything about your family with us? For just over 4 years now, I have been sharing my life with my best friend of 30+ years (now fiance); he is very supportive of my craft passion. I have 2 Daughters, aged 25 and 21 and also a Son who is almost 9 year old.

What is your favorite SU color? I love all the colours but I have always loved earthy colours and I also now love the new in colours we have.

What is your favorite stamping technique? I have learned, and still learning all the time... but I do love embossing.

Is there any part of stamping or creating that

you wish you knew more about? I have already learned so much but I would love to learn it all. I would actually love to also learn more on the business side of my crafting and I am trying everyday to do just that.

What inspires you? or Where do you find inspiration? My mind races every day with craft, I even dream it... but I also love to blog hop and check out all the other wonderfully talented people out there and draw some inspirations from their fabulous handy works. I get a little hint here and there to work with, but I am starting to try all sorts of things on my own, I am even doing my own tutorials now and although they are time consuming, they are part of the learning process I think, so it's a good thing.

Are there other designers whose work you admire? I admire anyone and everyone who shares the same passion as me or is just starting this fabulous journey and I thank all those who have and still are helping me to learn more every day. You can find most of them on my blog. I do intend to add more as time goes on.

Tell us about a time you lost your mojo and perhaps what helped you get it back? I sometimes can't get my mojo to work as well as I would like, but it's a good thing as you have so many places out there for inspiration and so many others willing to help, thanks to everyone!

Do you have any stamping secrets you would like to share with us? I have no secrets. I share everything and help others as much as I possibly can, including giving them other peoples links to share everyone's ideas. To me, the entire thing with crafts of any sort, is to share! After all, we learned from others sharing from way back

when... so the best part to me about crafts is to share and help everyone and it makes me proud to do this. There is nothing better than being able to say... I helped someone else!!!

Simple Gift Box Kit coming soon!

   Tonight I sat and made this simple Gift Box. I still have to make the cards to go in it (probably after my grand kids go home tomorrow) and then I will have to make up the tutorial for this set.

    I am also going to be starting to make up my own  "Kits in the Mail"  for you to buy so keep an eye out for these coming up soon. This set may even go into the Kits so if you like it, you will be able to buy it aswell.

    I have made this box using Pumpkin Pie card stock, but, if you prefer a different colour that would be fine. New Tutorials & Sneak Peeks

    A little while ago I posted the set I made  BELLA BLEU BOX & CARD SET 2  and I am working on the tutorials for it and a similar project I have also just finished. As soon as I do the tutorials (when I get more time to finish them) I will let you all know. If anyone has ever made up their own tutorials, then you would know how time consuming they are to put together to make sure all instructions are correct and that there is ample amount of photos in them for visual people, like myself, to be able to follow those instructions to make the projects. I am hoping to be able to finish the tutorials very soon. In the mean time...

Please be patient with me while I get these tutorials done as I am new to making my own and they are very time consuming, thanks!

One of a Kind Set

    I sat down tonight and started making some cards. I have had the "Flower Fusion Too" (page 144 of the catalogue) for a while but I've never used them yet. So I thought it was about time I did something with them. I even made a little box to match to keep the cards in. I will make this a "to do list"  for my tutorials aswell I think. Hope you like what I've made.

Masking Tutorial

A TUTORIAL CREATING MASKED IMAGES.

Stamp images onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock, making sure you

have three different  flowers. 

 

Cut the three flowers out.

Stamp the large flower onto another piece of Whisper White card stock.

Place the larger flower cut out over the top of this image. Slightly inside the lines.

 

Stamp the large flower over the top of the “masked” flower already done.

See how it overlaps but looks like it’s behind the first flower?

Cove the second flower over, as before, and stamp another large flower over

this “masked” flower and remove the cut out one again…

See in the pictures how they are all overlapped but look like they’re behind each other?

This is called “MASKING”

Now just colour the flowers in which ever colours you like, with inks, pastel chalks, watercolour crayons or watercolour pencils etc … then cut them out

And use them on your card or scrapbooking page/s.

BELLA BLEU BOX & CARD SET 2

Here is my Bella Bleu Box & Card Set now finished. Originally I was going to emboss the flowers but when my heat gun fizzled out and I had to order another one, the embossing was not my mood then, so, I stamped and water coloured the flowers instead. I will have another go one day with doing the embossing on this set.

Pot Plant Box

    I think I'm getting clever :P  look what I made last night. I have seen many of these cute little boxes all over the net so I just had to try one out for myself. I also had a special request from Janelle...Hi Janelle!!  to make one so I could teach her. Hope you like what I come up with Janelle. Now I need to make a tutorial.
